What’s Your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Practice?? DAY SIX of 66

It’s been an intense week energetically and I think most of us are glad we’re to the weekend.

Weekends are the book shelves to our week that hopefully give us time to reflect on what came up, what it meant, how it served us and what to do with that information now that we can recognize it.

For more than a week now my Papa has been in hospital recovering from an intestinal obstruction and I’ve been going to be there with him daily since he went in. He’s in good spirits and is taking it all in stride considering he’s got tubes everywhere and was on an ice cube diet until Thursday when they finally put him on intravenous nourishment so he can recover some of his strength. After 10 days with no food and a couple more before going in, his graceful approach to the whole situation is impressive.

I share this because it’s real and what’s going on in my world right now, and also because illness and dis-ease have a way of reminding us of what’s really important.

Without our health we can’t enjoy our wealth so making time for movement over the weekend, and every day of the week too, matters.

Part of transforming your self-image requires creating a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Practice that will support you through the process of change and establish healthy habits that will serve you better in the long run.

I’ll break down the meaning behind S.P.E.C.I.A.L. next week and in the mean time am curious what your existing self-care practice is and how consistently you adhere to it. Shoot me a message or share in the comments below this blog entry and I’ll look forward to learning more about how you honour yourself!

Yoga, tending to houseplants, loving up my beloved fur-baby Julius Romeo, getting organized and sharing time with loved ones are just a few ways I’ll be recharging my battery this weekend as part of my self-care practice. What will you be doing?

I look forward to hearing what you do to fill your cup!

    Much love,
